The Akina-Ancog family joined me at Kamaole Point to take their family pictures in December. This long stretch of beach that runs all long the coastline of South Maui is very important to the history of their family, so it was special that we could take their family pictures there.
Hi, I'm Danette He'itukutonga. I am a photographer, business owner and the mother of a big Caucasian/Polynesian family. We have homes in Maui, Idaho and Tonga. We run several businesses that keep us very busy, have several hapa kids and have now added grandkids to that mix. We love life and try to make the most of every day and every opportunity that comes our way.

Maui Family Portrait Photography, Hawaii Family Portrait Photography, Latter-day Saint Maui Family Portrait Photography, Portraits at Keawekapu Beach
I love my friend Rachael. She and I both love photography, the Gospel, family. She is as sweet as she is beautiful. This year, she asked me along to take her family pictures. Fun!! I was there of course. She's going to help me get that allusive family photo I want of all of my bunch, as soon as all these holidays settle down.

Maui Family Portrait Photography, Hawaii Family Portrait Photography, Latter-day Saint Maui Family Portrait Photography, Portraits at Maluaka Beach
I have a few really favorite families, and this family is one of them. To know the mom is to be so lucky. She is just a blessing in all of our lives. I told her that being out there on the beach that morning, with her family, was like being around pure sunshine, and it wasn't just because we were out there on the beach on a sunny day. No it was much more than that. Julie is pure joy, and her boys take right after her. Brian, we love him too. He is the neatest guy, with the greatest personality. They definitely have the life everyone would want, raising three fantastic boys in paradise.
Uh OH!! I think we wore out Mom and Dad.
