Family Portrait Photography - Northwestern United States, Family Portrait Photography Caldwell, Idaho - Portrait Photography, College of Idaho, Caldwell, Idaho

I did some traveling in the Northwestern United States, this fall and shot some landscape photography for a project that I am working on.  I also deeply enjoyed shooting a couple of portrait sessions while I was there.  The ability to shoot in a new location was so much fun for me.  I miss the fall leaves and weather of the Mainland, tremendously.  In 20 years, I have not forgotten how beautiful the Northwestern States are in the fall.  Shooting against the backdrop of the ocean means that we are shooting in conditions that are not usually recommended for portraits.  If you are a good portrait photographer, here in the islands, you have learned to overcome those conditions and get the shots that you want at the caliber that you want them to be.  It was so much fun for me though, to pick backdrops based on their ability to aid me in my portrait session, not hinder me.   Here are the results of my portrait session with my brother and my sister-in-law.  I love this family tremendously.  I hope the love they have for each other comes through in these portraits.  All families should love each other and be this dedicated to each other.  The world would be a much better place if this were so.
